The Church of Christ headquarters is based in Heaven. Each local congregation is autonomous and is bound to other local churches of Christ only by the common faith shared. Christ is the head of the church and the Savior of the Body. (Ephesians 5:23)
Qualifications of Church Leadership - I Timothy 3:1-13 Elders (also called Bishops and Pastors) oversee the congregation and tend to the flock.
Deacons serve the church and obtain for themselves a good standing in Christ Jesus.
Leadership Service in the Kingdom includes:
Preaching the gospel
Teaching the Bible
Outreach to unfaithful members
Guarding against false doctrine
Encourage faithfulness to Christ and His church
